Whitney H. VanMeter

is a distinguished political and corporate strategist with over 20 years of experience in government affairs and political advocacy. As the Founder and President of VanMeter Advisory, she excels in advising clients on political and legislative strategies to succeed at both federal and state levels. Her expertise includes strategic engagement with government officials, associations, and external groups, ensuring clients’ policy priorities are advanced effectively.

Whitney’s career includes a significant tenure at UPS, where she served as Vice President of Global Public Affairs. In this role, she provided critical political advising and legislative impact analysis, led external engagement strategies with elected officials, and managed political risk for the company. Whitney also led one of Washington’s largest employee-sponsored PACs and was at helm during highly scrutinized and volatile seasons, guiding leadership on managing the brand’s reputation in Washington and beyond the beltway.

Her advocacy efforts resulted in major legislative victories for the company, such as multi-employer pension reform and the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.

In addition to her corporate achievements, Whitney is deeply involved in political and community organizations. She founded the Kentucky Business Council, a non-profit organization that facilitates dialogue between Kentucky-focused businesses and elected officials. She has also co-chaired the March of Dimes Congressional Gala, raising record funds for the organization, and serves on the board of the VIEW PAC, supporting female candidates in fundraising and communication.

Whitney holds a Master’s Degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University and has completed executive education programs at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Her extensive education and experience make her a pivotal figure in political investment advising, lobbying, and advocacy planning.
